It is with great excitement and enthusiasm we welcome you back for the 2024-2025 school year. I hope you are all wrapping up a fantastic summer. The day has finally come when we will start the next chapter of the FHN story. Our custodial, maintenance, and support staff have been working all summer long to put the final touches on our beautiful new facility. We cannot thank the community enough for providing us with an exceptional space for students to learn and grow. While the majority of the project is complete, there will still be construction on campus throughout the 24-25 school year. The construction teams will be demolishing the old building, completing the wrap around drive, and building our practice facilities.
In June, camps and practices for a variety of athletics and activities occurred within our new facilities. We continue to stress the importance of taking pride in and care of our new facilities. We want all students, staff, and families to enjoy our new space and honor the community that provided it to us by being good stewards while we use it. The grand opening of the building to the community will occur before our Black and Gold Day on August 24th. The ceremony starts at 2:00 pm, followed by Black and Gold Day at 4:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
The 2024-2025 school year is a big one at FHN. We are excited to have students back in the building in the coming weeks. FHN has such a great legacy within the community: high academic achievement, strong activities and programs, and a learning environment that welcomes all students. We are grateful you allow us to work with your children every day. We will achieve success when we work together to support our students inside and outside of school.

As a District focused on continuous improvement, each of our 23 schools develops a site-based school improvement plan every year. The plan outlines the goals and actions the building plans to take throughout the year to improve various areas of performance.
A pyramid of intervention is a tiered approach to prevention and intervention strategies to support students both academically and behaviorally. The pyramid uses a variety of strategies and techniques to help all students stay on the right track. The foundation of the pyramid offers Tier 1 supports for all students. Tier 2 interventions provide additional support for smaller groups of students who need more targeted help. Tier 3 provides the most intensive supports for individual students when Tier 1 and 2 interventions have been unsuccessful. Our schools review and update their pyramid on a regular basis to ensure new strategies are incorporated and all are aligned with best practice.
The student handbook summarizes District policy and contains general guidelines and information. Translated copies of this Handbook are available. Contact the school office.
